But if they trade away Keldon Johnson, there’s room at the end of the bench for a cheaper forward. Jayden Quiantance is going to take over eventually, but in the meantime, he’s injured and still very, very raw.
Jeremy Sochan hasn’t been re-signed by the New York Knicks, and the Spurs could use him at the end of the bench, playing defense and being a pest to opponents. Does it make them frontrunners? No, but signing him does move the needle a little bit.
